Saturated Health started out as an idea to keep track of all of the reading I was doing for my new-found diet and lifestyle. Until this blog was created, I was keeping track of articles I read in browser bookmarks and screen-shotting twitter posts. I was linking these articles and posting my own thoughts to Facebook, where I discovered that this useful info was getting buried. My primary motivation is a personal one, I wanted to keep track of thoughts, important information and personal progress in such a way that I could look at or search this history whenever I wanted. I also considered that popular social media companies regard my posts to their platforms as their property. My research and personal thoughts should always be accessible to me. Therefore, a reasonable solution is to host this information myself.
I also wish that this blog can serve another purpose, provide an organized repository of information for others with similar interests in human health for both research and motivation. I hope that I can motivate others by detailing how I have completely changed my own life. I changed my relationship with food and in doing so reduced my body weight, changed body composition, gained strength, increased mobility, motivation and vastly improved both my physical and mental health. I hope I can help at least one other person do the same.
